DraftSight V1R5.2 fixes localization bug

DraftSight V1R5.2 is out and the important news are that now Linux users can open their files normally without worrying if the path contains any non-English characters. Finally after six months of waiting, DraftSight Linux users can expect normal functionality when they try  to open their files.

You can download DraftSight V1R5.2 from here. As usually 32 bit .deb and .rpm files are available.

  1. But...in your link all the downloads are V1R5.1. Where can I find V1R5.2?

    1. They haven't update their page yet, but if you download the package you will get the new version.

  2. How can I install this version on Ubuntu 64 bit? The control file doesn't refer to libdirectfb-extra, but still I get unresolved dependencies.

  3. Hi, sorry for the off-topic question.
Last August I installed Draftsight V1R5.2 on a Ubuntu 14.04 64 bit machine, followed your instructions (thank you!) and it works but each time I run the program it asks me to activate (and it does not send me any email confirmation).
Is this a known issue for this version?
Do you have any hint to solve it?
Thanks in advance for your reply,

    1. It's probably an error on the activation server. It happens quite often and many users report problems. If you want, you can bypass the error and renew your 30-day trial version. Just delete the file ~/.config/SWActivation/K2.conf. It's not the best solution but it's the only solution if you want to use the product and you cannot activate it.
