I had to edit its options because if I selected any (sub)entities very fast the quad cursor didn't displayed. I set the values of:
-"Delay to show quad after highlighting a (sub)entity" to 50
-"Delay to hide quad when the cursor moves" to 800
This tweak allowed me to draw faster in 3D
But this depends on your hardware configuration.
Try also:
-A session without Compiz. Unity 2d or Gnome Classic (No effects). Compiz causes performance regression on many computers.
- Update your graphics driver. X-swat ppa is a fast easy and secure way to do this
-Make sure that you have all the necessary 32bit libraries installed on your 64bit system. Install ia32-libs if you don't have this package installed.
Consider that some hardware doesn't work properly yet.
Bricscad V12 is a great CAD program but it still needs some love to work flawlessly on Linux.Spyros M.https://www.blogger.com/profile/08381662194718592482noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5289535684554281516.post-12698000537293307502012-03-20T12:08:17.483+02:002012-03-20T12:08:17.483+02:00Hi, I'm trying Bricscad 12 on ubuntu 11.10 64b...Hi, I'm trying Bricscad 12 on ubuntu 11.10 64bit and I would like to know what settings you changed to improve performance.
(for now my imperessione is not the best ...)Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
